Why study in Austria?

  1. It is in the heart of Europe

Austria train travel

There isn’t a better country to tour central and eastern Europe from than one that is so conveniently situated. Austria is bordered by eight distinct nations, and getting to each of them is relatively simple because to the effective and interconnected train system. Students on a tight budget have the option of taking the bus, thanks to businesses like Flixbus, which offers transportation from Vienna to Berlin for as little as €22.

2. Education is affordable and (relatively!) laid back.

Give a moment to explain. While studying overseas, you won’t necessarily be exempt from employment obligations. Your decision is entirely that! Austrians’ laid-back attitude toward higher education is a perk of studying there, nevertheless. Although it usually takes three to five years to accomplish a degree programme, there is technically no time limit on how long you can spend finishing your studies. Additionally, especially if you are from an EU nation, Austrian university course expenses are extremely affordable. Additionally, while you’re there, you can apply for Erasmus financing to support yourself. Because of the reduced financial stress, the experience is more relaxed overall.

4. You have the opportunity to study German.

German isn’t the most extensively spoken language in the world, to be honest. However, having German in your back pocket will only help when it comes to landing a job. especially those of you in the textile, automotive, financial, engineering, and mechanical sectors. It increases your employment prospects in Austria and Germany and enhances your appeal to domestic employers. German is made much easier to learn because most Austrian colleges require you to take a German class as one of your semester courses.

5. However, a lot of courses are taught in English.

Take advantage of the opportunity to learn German, although it could have been too much for me to have all of my lectures in a foreign language. Especially when compared to other European nations, Austria has a very high percentage of international students enrolled in its universities. Thus, it makes sense for colleges to offer English-language instruction, and this is much more frequent at the graduate level.

8. What more could you ask for than architecture, art, music, and literature?

Salzburg Old Town

Enjoying Bizet and Mozart in the Felsenreitschule was an amazing experience (AKA the theatre from The Sound of Music).  Endless galleries, classical music events, and amazed at the magnificent Baroque cathedrals. Salzburg’s Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The architecture in Vienna was similarly spectacular,  Being surrounded by such a deep and storied culture is an education in and of itself.
