Monash University International Merit Scholarship
Monash University Is the largest university in Australia, ranked in the world’s top 100 and a member of the prestigious Group of Eight.It is named after Sir John Monash a Civil Engineer and Australian Military Commander in the First World War. Monash university offers International Merit scholarship to meritorious international students. Each year the university offers at least 31 Awards worth $10000 for the duration of your degree.
Benefits
- $10,000 per annum (48 credit points of study) paid per year until the minimum number of points for your degree is completed.
- Commencing undergraduate students will be invited to apply for a place in Monash Minds, a leadership program for first-year students.
Eligibility
- The Applicant must be an international Student
- Intending to enrol full-time in undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia.
- For commencing students, you must have received a Monash offer.
- For current students, you must have completed a minimum of two semesters in Australia
- Current students enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) course or the Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD) course must have completed at least three semesters
- You will not be eligible if you are commencing MBBS Degree
Application Process
- Student must fill up separate application form available on University Website
- Student must have received Unconditional offer letter
- The student may apply through six rounds of application. Following are the round details;
Round one: 15 October Semester one or two of the following year
Round two: 15 November Semester one or two of the following year
Round three: 15 January Semester one or two of the current year
Round four: 15 March Semester two of the current year
Round five: 15 April Semester two of the current year
Round six: 30 June Semester two of the current year
Selection Process
The selection process of the scholarship is based on following things;
- Academic Performance
- The applicant must have achieved at least 85% marks
- Student should write Scholarship Application statement of 500 words
- To Retain Scholarship for whole duration you must maintain Distinction(70%) each semester
Deadline
The deadline is given dates of six rounds.
