Medical scholarships around the world (Part 2)

To study in Europe

• AMC Amsterdam Merit Scholarships : Scholarships for medical school for non-EU/EEA students enrolled in the University of Amsterdam’s Faculty of Medicine at the master’s degree level.
• Carl Duisberg Scholarships – For students currently completing their clinical traineeship or practise year in certain medical professions, medical scholarships of up to €10,000 (£8,420) are available. Candidates who want to study abroad or in Germany from other countries or from Germany are both eligible.
• Novo Nordisk Foundation Research Scholarships and Grants – Scholarships for independent study in Denmark in the areas of clinical or fundamental biomedical research are available for students in these professions.
• The Karolinska Institutet Global Master’s Scholarships : Scholarships for international students to pursue master’s degrees at the Swedish university Karolinska Institutet.

To study in the UK:

• Imperial College London Faculty of Medicine  – The MBBS and BSc in medicine programmes at Imperial College London are eligible for a variety of scholarships.
• King’s College London Global Health & Social Medicine  — One scholarship is available for enrollment in the university’s BA/BSc programme in global health and social medicine. All nationalities are welcome.
• NHS Student Bursaries – The NHS, one of the most well-known funding sources in the UK for medical students, provides a significant number of scholarships to students every year.

These scholarships are often exclusively accessible to residents of England, though eligibility varies.

• QMUL John Abernethy (Barts) Scholarship for Medicine – Need-based scholarships for medical and dental students enrolled in the MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) or BDS program at London’s  Queen Mary University.
• UCLan MBBS Scholarships – The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is offering scholarships to UK students from the North West of England to pursue an MBBS degree.
• University of Cambridge Graduate Course in Medicine Bursary – scholarships for medical students from the EU to receive financing for studies at the University of Cambridge.
• University of Edinburgh/Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh – Scholarships are available to attend an online, three-year, part-time MSc in Internal Medicine degree offered by the University of Edinburgh.

To study in Australia or New Zealand

• AFPHM John Snow Scholarship : The Royal Australasian College of Physicians offers medical scholarships to students at recognised medical colleges and universities in Australia and New Zealand.
• University of Auckland John Hamel MacGregor Award in Medical Science – Scholarships for medical education at the University of Auckland in New Zealand for both domestic and foreign students pursuing a Bachelor of Medical Science or a PG research degree.
• University of Wollongong Scholarships – Numerous medical school scholarships are available to support studies at the University of Wollongong in Australia’s Faculty of Science, Medicine, and Health.
• University of Melbourne Bachelor of Medical Science Scholarships for High Achievement – High-achieving students who enrol in the University of Melbourne’s Bachelor of Medical Science programme can apply for scholarships to help with living expenses while they are studying there.
