How to Apply to a University in Hungary in 2022
Hungary is becoming more and more popular as a destination for international students due to its affordability, the promise of a cosmopolitan student community, and renowned landscapes and structures.
Hungary’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes are particularly popular with students from Romania, Slovakia, France, Spain, and Italy.
However, if you apply to a university in Hungary, you might also end up taking a class alongside people from India, Ecuador, or Mongolia. We can help you with the university admission procedure if you wish to experience higher education “the Hungarian way.”

Because there is no centralised application process in Hungary, you must follow the guidelines provided on the website of the university you have chosen.
Typically, the procedure involves submitting an online application (and, in some cases, even uploading documents online). You might also need to mail your documents, whether they are copies or originals. Ensure that they are legalised and translated!
- Meet the entrance requirements for the university
Although admission standards vary from university to university in Hungary, there are some similar prerequisites for applicants.:
- educational degree
- records transcription (translated into English)
- copies of certificates (translated into English)
- motivational letter
- copy of a identification document.

Depending on the academic programme you choose, Hungarian institutions may need additional documentation.
