What distinguishes the UCAT from the BMAT and GAMSAT?
Some UK medical programmes employ the Graduate Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) and the BioMedical Admissions Test (BMAT) as alternate entrance exams. Only graduate entry programmes are relevant for the GAMSAT in particular.
While some elements of the BMAT and GAMSAT presuppose prior knowledge of the sciences, the UCAT is a wholly skills-based exam.
While the UCAT only has multiple-choice questions, the BMAT and GAMSAT additionally ask you to submit an essay.
